About this opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Senior Manager, Payroll is an integral role within the Finance and Procurement team and is responsible for the end to end ownership of the payroll function. This includes timely and accurate payments to employees, the meeting of all payroll related state and federal obligations and ownership of the applicable policies and control frameworks.

How do you exceed our expectations?
The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of payroll systems and operations and deep understanding of payroll practices, procedures, legislation and compliance. Additionally they will have the following:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Payroll and experience managing a large payroll function;
Proficiency with accounting software to account for payroll transactions (e.g. SAP, SUN, etc.) including reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation;
Comprehensive knowledge of Modern Awards and other state and industry legislation;
People management experience and capability to provide leadership for the organisation regarding all payroll related items; and
Strong influencing skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively across teams, building trust and rapport.
