At Sheridan, we are seeking an Allocator to join our Planning team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced allocator who has a passion for retail, is eager to learn and has a good understanding of the retail industry and inventory management.
What will I be responsible for?
Working with the Merchandise Planners to develop and refine Retail Store stock grids/profiles
Managing replenishment of core and seasonal lines
Maintaining the right product mix, analyzing and reacting to store trends and overall performance
Identifying opportunity to increase sales through changes in product allocation to best and worst performing stores
Monitoring gaps and make recommendations for action
Communicating with sales force on key brand/product issues, such as removing and adding styles or changing in store dates
Providing weekly delivery and stock allocation updates to the team
Supporting the Merchandise Planners in recurring and ad hoc analysis, reporting and accurately entering information into the system
Providing input and analysis into Retail Store Stock On Hand levels, by style and category and make recommendations on inventory matters to the Merchandise Planner
Provide input and analysis into Post Season Reviews for Brands
Providing input and analysis into range planning with Merchandise Planners and Brand Managers for Retail
Providing input into the preparation of reporting for Weekly Trade Meetings
What experience you can bring to us?
Experience within a retail store or, as a merchandise allocator or buyers assistant (ideal but not mandatory)
Local knowledge of apparel or homewares industry
Analytically minded with a good knowledge of excel
Above all else a positive attitude and willingness to learn!
