About the role:

Reporting to our Compliance Manager in this initial 12-month fixed term contract, your main responsibility is to provide risk & compliance guidance, support and advice to key strategic projects and business transformation initiatives as we embark on both large & small projects across Hostplus.

A snapshot of some of your key responsibilities will be to:

Deliver qualitative and quantitative data-driven insights to support strategic business planning and provide risk & compliance support and leadership as required for strategic projects, regulatory change and business initiatives.
Engage with project teams by providing advice and support that will assist the business to comply with its legal, regulatory, license and statutory obligations, while achieving member and business objectives.
Support effective implementation of the Hostplus Risk Management and Compliance Strategies through ongoing education and awareness to ensure the business complies with its controls, policies and procedures as they implement major changes.
Review member and external facing disclosure documents and marketing materials to ensure all legislative requirements have been met.
Assist with reporting to Project Steering Committees, the Board and its Committees, as required.
About you:

We’re looking for someone who exudes the Compliance & Risk discipline and has built up a career within the financial services sector. You’ll have a detailed knowledge of Compliance, Legislative and Regulatory requirements relevant to financial services industry & superannuation, and qualifications in law, risk management, business, commerce or accounting.

As this role is primarily focussed on our transformation projects you’ll need to be adept at shifting directions quickly, demonstrate strong business acumen and have well-developed influencing skills to keep projects & stakeholders informed and on target.
