About the Job
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for helping Rest transform the way we use technology by developing innovative, valuable and reliable software solutions. Your role will spearhead the delivery of solutions; taking accountability for delivering quality solutions across the Rest technology stack and providing thought leadership in the engineering domain. This role will be working in a highly agile environment with software environment that is based on a true cloud foundation.
Key responsibilities include:
Accountable for the design and implementation of scalable, secure and resilient software that deliver to business requirements
Work closely with product owners and key business stakeholders to help analyze, plan and advise delivery roadmaps
Work and collaborate within agile teams and participate in team planning, estimation, reviews, stand-ups and retrospectives
Lead the design and implementation of software components across the Rest technology stack including mobile, web, API, serverless, data and AWS components
Deliver high quality solutions using TDD approaches that include sufficient automated functional and non-functional tests
Enable low-risk, high-quality changes to solutions through CICD and DevOps automation
Ensure that security is designed and embedded in software solutions
Ensure operational excellence by engineering reliability, manageability and monitoring into solutions
Create, communicate and enforce software engineering standards and best practices
Coach and mentor engineers to uplift Rest engineering capabilities and maturity
Keep abreast of new approaches, technologies and best practices in engineering and AWS
Demonstrated software engineering experience across the technology stack including UI, API, server and serverless, data and infrastructure
Proven experience designing and delivering consumer facing web solutions including single-page applications (SPAs)
Experience and deep working knowledge of RESTful API service design and delivery
Experience delivering cloud (AWS) solutions, specifically cloud-native and serverless solutions
Demonstrable experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping and data mapping.
Experience delivering within Agile teams with good working knowledge of Agile development methodologies, values and procedures
Hands on experience with CICD pipelines including build automation, continuous Integration, version control and other related technologies (e.g. Git, GitHub, AWS Code* or similar)
Understanding of QA techniques like code review, unit testing, integration testing, TDD
