These people are helping us to achieve our vision to become the global leader in sustainable packaging solutions. Together, we can create a better world.
Visy is a true recycler and for many years, has been making it easy to recover recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper, plastic, steel, aluminum and glass, which otherwise would of been destined to landfill.
We understand this is not an environment for everybody, but our Recycling plants are where our daily household items are sorted and processed, bringing them to life to be reused into different products.
As Mulit-Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day Operations of our Wingfield, Gilman and Plympton Recycling plants.
Leading a team of around 65 employees across the sites, you will ensure safe operations in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and pro-actively review operations with a focus on efficiency improvements.
Your strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure will suit this fast paced environment. And it is your ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders from all levels, which makes you a true enabler.
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:
Provide and improve upon a safe working environment for all site personnel.
Set direction and provide mentoring & coaching to the leadership team to set them up for success.
Ensure quality of material is within specification, and appropriate compliance audits are conducted.
Ensure reliability and maintenance of plant and equipment.
Develop and implement process & cost improvement programs, and manage the operational aspects of the P&L.
What you will bring to the team:
Experience leading teams within a process or manufacturing environment.
Experience managing employee rostering, training and performance.
Ability to manage a budget including regular accurate reporting.
Understanding of stock control and accurate forecasting.
You are a highly motivated, driven and organised individual with a continuous improvement mindset.
SAP experience highly regarded.
When you join Visy, you’re joining a global leader dedicated to making serious progress in the sustainable packaging and recycling industries. We want to find solutions, make an impact and grow our business. If you can help us, you’ll fit right in. There’s never been a better time to join Visy!
