This position will be reporting to the recently appointed Head of Creative. The Art Director is responsible for the creation and execution of marketing campaigns and design projects from conception to execution. Partner with the soon to be appointed Copywriter to ideate and develop concepts when needed and build extensions on campaigns delivered by partners and agencies. Working within a cohesive team that translates creative briefs into compelling marketing campaigns across all channels including: Point of sale, OOH, TV, online, social media, blog, catalogues and eDMs. Seeking a hands-on Art Director that doesn’t shy away from comping up ideas and designing executions.
This fantastic role with a leading Australian Retailer allows you to flex your creative muscle, working with great internal and external teams. The role requires a creative rebel (pardon the pun) that can think out of the box providing you the opportunity to build on the brand and develop successful campaigns and award winning-creative.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
7-10 years’ experience in a similar role, client and agency, across the retail industry
Highly developed influencing, and relationship building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Experience working with and collaborating with a variety of different teams like marketing teams, media agencies, creative agencies, research agencies, merchandise teams, visual merchandise and eComm teams etc.
Experience art directing photoshoots, video shoots, and collaborating with editors, motion graphics artists, illustrators, retouchers and external production partners.
The ability to provide design direction and delivery of all media channels including; TV, radio, catalogues, OOH, POS, digital, eComm, social media and internal communications
Proven ability to deliver the brand guidelines and tone of voice for all communications and execute the brand platforms, brand positioning and language for the rebel brand
A demonstrable creative and strategic mindset
Ability to use the Photoshop Suite and create comps of ideas
Strong sense of design and typography
Experience in owning projects – ideation to implementation!
