The opportunity

As we continue our Global Risk Transformation to develop a global leading risk practice and culture, we have a unique opportunity within our expanding Group Head Office Risk function, based at QBE’s Sydney CBD head office. We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Group Risk Systems team in the capacity of a Manager – Risk Systems to maintain and enhance QBE’s global risk and compliance system, Insight (RSA Archer). In addition, we are currently working remotely, and you will be supported with technology and remote work practices. Going forward there is the opportunity to apportion time between working from the office and working from home.

Key responsibilities include:

Act as Subject Matter Expert and advocate for Insight across QBE
Coordinate Group Risk System responses to user requests, incidents and enhancement requests, working with IT teams and vendors
Perform change impact analysis and design implementation for proposed Insight changes
Execute basic platform configuration and co-ordinate of minor change requests
Manage the release management, system testing in close collaboration with risk and compliance stakeholders and IT teams
Create, maintain and update user manuals, training and other system documents
Identify and recommend improvements to Insight to uplift Insight’s capability and/or useability to strengthen QBE’s risk management practices
Collaborate, engage and build relationships with business users and key stakeholders
Support Insight governance forums and working groups to embed appropriate processes
Take a Lead role in the development and on-going operation of the Insight user community across the Group

We are looking for someone with seasoned analytical skills and high attention to detail. You will bring curiosity and creativity to the role and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Must-have:

Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders at all levels
Experience in managing risk systems (technical architecture, configuration/administration skills), RSA Archer experience preferred but not essential
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance core processes within Financial Services/Insurance industries
Ability to gather information and translate into business requirements
Experience of managing risk systems in a complex environment
Knowledge of agile principles (desired)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
