Job Description

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager – North Queensland, the Branch Team Leader is responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service through the daily management of a team of employees who contribute to the banks customer team strategy. This role is a key leadership role, the successful candidate will manage the daily operation of the branch including the Coaching, development, and implementation of staff development plans, training and rostering of staff. The successful candidate will also be adept in developing a branch marketing plan in conjunction with the Regional Manager and being able to execute this plan in their local market.

Leadership Skills --Leaders have a responsibility to keep their employees motivated, have the ability to lead, resolve conflicts, build strong engaged teams and at times make difficult decisions.
Business Acumen -- Understand your role in the organisation, your impact on the business and how to make informed decisions.
Sales Management – Develop sales teams, coach & oversee sales processes and execute sales techniques to successfully achieve and exceed sales targets while ensuring the best outcome for the customer.
Judgment and Decision Making -- Considering the relative impact, costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Communication Skills – Ability to communicate effectively including strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
Time Management --. Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
Analytical Skills -- The ability to visualise, articulate and solve problems.
Customer Solution Focused - Customer focus and adaptable to different customer situations.
Although our branches are not open on weekends, the successful applicant must have the flexibility to work to meet the leadership requirements in any afterhours or weekend functions.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful applicant must have:

Proven experience of leading a service driven team within the financial services sector with experience in managing through periods of significant growth or change - Desired
3+ years’ experience in a leaders role with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Additional skills required:

Model the professionalism required of a leader.
To provide coaching to ensure exceptional customer service and how to strive to exceed Auswide Bank’s service standards.
To work efficiently to achieve assigned tasks and duties, accurately and within required timeframes.
To be innovative and contribute to the development of the broader Mackay Team.
