Job Description

We are looking for 2 x Workplace Relations Specialists to join the Workplace Relations team with a focus on industrial relations compliance, strategic business engagement and education. Day to day duties will include providing advice to HR professionals, payroll, and a broad array of businesses on industrial relations matters, engaging with unions and dealing with disputes. These roles are reporting into the Workplace Relations Leader and can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Brisbane. The broader team of 12 is split between Employment Relations, Workplace Relations and Policy & Risk.

How will I help?

Key responsibilities include:

Interpret and apply industrial instruments, such as awards and Enterprise Agreements across multiple industries in Australia and New Zealand.
Assist in the management of industrial disputes/matters escalation and advice
Support broader workplace relations compliance initiatives.
support the development and maintenance of complex relationships and stakeholders internal and external to Bupa
Work collaboratively and support the workplace relations team and broader organisation
Contribute to the delivery of the workplace relations strategy

What do I need?

Tertiary or post-graduate degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations/Workplace relations or related degree
2 – 5 years post graduate experience
Experience in improving the capability of others with a focus on enterprise agreements and Awards
Experience in interpreting and applying industrial instruments and legislation
Excellent written and aural communication skills
Able to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including more senior leaders, technical and functional specialists, business facing People-team Heads of and Partners, operational and line managers
Proven ability to convert information and data into knowledge, and to communicate that knowledge in a meaningful and useful way.
Ability to manage and prioritise competing demands with a client-focussed and outcomes-centred approach.
