Thales Australia provides support for training devices and the IT system, instructor services and avionics support. An opportunity has arisen to support the HATS project manager in the delivery of all contract obligations in full and on time, achieving financial targets. The opportunityIn this role you will be responsible for:Supporting the Project Manager to ensure delivery of project requirements, schedule, budget and plan. Developing project reports and maintaining key performance data for the projectIdentifying and managing project risks and opportunitiesDeveloping and maintain a sound working relationship with the customer, the Commonwealth and all other relevant stakeholders.Working effectively with subcontractors and suppliers for on-time and compliant delivery.Monitoring progress of project expenditure and ensure that all financial targets are achieved as well as ensuring commercial aspects are aligned to the contractIdentifying and supporting opportunities to grow the contract value or capture efficienciesAbout youThe successful candidate will have experience in a project management capacity with exposure to project budget, resource and schedule estimation and management. Your other skills will include a high customer focus, sound interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and maintain good team morale, as well as the ability to problem solve. Industry experience in a defence related industry, systems engineering, avionics or information technology will be highly regarded.
