They have an excellent opportunity on offer for an experienced Senior Project Officer in the Education Team.As a Senior Project Officer your primary responsibility will be to deliver the operational requirement of the contractual agreement with the Federal Government in relation to the Specialist Training Program they deliver. This role is a key member of the team and takes on the responsibility for the management of the program and effectively administer the program throughout Australia.Some of your duties will include the following: Deliver the operational requirements of the contractual agreement with the Federal Department of Health for the delivery of the Specialist Training ProgramEstablish and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including health care organisations, government bodies, specialist medical colleges and specialist societies and collaborate with them in the delivery of the programs activities and objectivesManage the program support Project process in consultation with the project managers, Financial Analyst - Projects and Program ManagerMange the contractual, reporting and invoicing requirements for the hospitals across Australia that are approved for the program funding, with support from the project officerDevelop articles and regular communications to a variety of stakeholders to promote the programs activitiesSupport the Program Manger through the coordination of a range of activities to deliver the relevant departmental objectives as defines in the strategic plan. As the successful candidate you will have proven experience working as a Senior Project Officer and have relevant experience in the administration of government funding or health projects. You will have experience in preparing forecast budgets and monitor budgeted income and expenditure as well as experience in synthesising complex information and an ability to prepare reports and briefs. You must have proven experience in contract and/or grants management and have the ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously, and to work independently. High level written and verbal communication skills with superior attention to detail is essential as well as exceptional time management and organisation skills. You must be able to demonstrate previous experience handling confidential matters with a high level of integrity and professionalism as well as possessing high initiative to contribute to the organisation at a broader level. A relevant Bachelor's degree in Business or Administration is highly regarded. Experience in a service environment or a background within a health, education, government or membership organisation would be highly advantageous. Excellent Computer skills in all Microsoft Office suites are required and you will be subject to some computer testing if you are shortlisted for this role.This role is to start ASAP.
