Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities: Data analysis: this is the core of the job. You need to be able to write SQL and understand how a relational database works. Must be very comfortable with joins, creating tables, unions, grouping, case statements etc. There have been several instances where you need to pull out data and write python scripts to do something with it due to technical restraints; Need python knowledge, especially pandas, is a big nice-to-have. Meeting with a business stakeholder to learn about their business problems Running a workshop to gather information regarding data requirementsLiaising with application owners to understand the source data structures and schemasUnderstanding and documenting data flows, data mappings and transformation rulesPerform data profiling and quality checks on dataAnalysing large data set using various query toolsExtracting data from various systems for projectPreparing simple dashboards or data visualisation Let’s talk about your qualifications and experience: Hands-on experience in Bigdata technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Pyspark, Sqoop, Impala and other scripting toolsWorking knowledge of DWH concepts – SCD patterns, Analytical queries, Data Analysis and Data Mining.Experience in working with large data sets ( 10s of TB)Exposure to planning and execution of data validation routines on Big Data platformExperience working on banking products dataset is a bonusAbility to effectively communicate and present to all stakeholders (translate technical into non-technical and vice versa)Ability to perform statistical and forensic analysis and translate data insights into practical business recommendationsModerate data visualization skillsExperience in SAFe Agile & tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray Testing Toolor you Passionate people are Capgemini’s Ace of Spades – join us to discover a career that will challenge, support and inspire you.
