With influential leaders and collaborative, friendly teams, our client care about their staff as well as their members.About the OpportunityAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hardship Officer who has recent experience in the banking industry to join this company on a contract basis. The initial contract will be until the end of 2021, with the opportunity to extend further if performance and culture are aligned. The key requirements will include; Taking inbound and making outbound calls to members in arrears;Discussing complex and sensitive matters with members experiencing financial hardship;Completing hardship assessments for existing members and providing quality solutions over the phone;Obtaining and reviewing supporting documentation as required;Processing hardship applications;Making decisions and actioning accounts, with the best interest of members and bank;Ensuring all member contact and interaction complies with legal and regulatory requirements; andWorking with internal and external stakeholders to reach a member solutions. Reporting to the Financial Assistance Team Leader, the successful candidate will display the following qualities and working experience: Recent experience in Hardship processes, Debt Collection and Banking;Thorough understanding of consumer laws and legislations;Genuine interest in helping customers and building rapport;Ability to work as part of a team and independently;Excellent communication and negotiation skills; andReliable and committed to contract term.
