Our patients are admitted electively or via our Emergency Service, and we cater for most surgical specialties including, but not limited to, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, vascular, urology, colorectal, orthopaedics, daVinci (Robotic) systems, breast and gynaecology,. Building on our successful base, in 2018 we completed a $50 million upgrade and expansion of our clinical facilities with more improvements planned for 2020 and beyond. Our state of the art Angiography Suite provides a range of procedures including coronary angiograms, percutaneous coronary intervention and stent insertions with adjunct procedures such as Rotablator, FFR, IVUS and OCT; Pacemaker/ Defibrillator insertion; EP studies; radiology and vascular interventions. The unit has is a strong focus on innovation, teaching and research. About the role We are interested in hearing from Registered Nurses with current experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab Nursing role who are looking for permanent hours within our well established Angiography Suite. In addition to your recent and extensive experience, you will need to demonstrate:a commitment to delivering best practice patient carewell-developed organisation and prioritisation skillsexcellent communication and interpersonal skillscommitment to your continued professional developmentan interest in mentoring and educating our up-and-coming nursing students and graduatesthe ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholderssignificant experience in a similar fast-paced environmentcurrent registration with AHPRA and the ability to legally live and work in Australia Post graduate qualifications in cardiac nursing and/or significant experience in a Cath Lab will be highly regarded. Hours This position is ideally for 60 hours per fortnight. The lab routinely functions Monday-Friday with on-call as required.
