The Botanic Gardens haveestablished living collections of plants exhibiting botanicaldiversity and the State Herbarium is a scientific collection ofmore than 1 million plant specimens from South Australia andglobally, housed in the Historic Building, the Old Tram Barn, onthe grounds of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. The mission for the BotanicGardens and State Herbarium is to ‘build an understanding andappreciation of the botanical world’ providing life-longexperiences across generations. Aboutthe Role: The SeniorProject Officer, Business Improvement is responsible for drivingthe development, delivery and reporting of key governanceprogrammes to support the Botanic Gardens and State Herbariumbusiness objectives and ensure compliance with state and nationalstandards. A key aspect of the role includes coordinating andleveraging cross programme scientific expertise and technicaladvice to create integrated and high quality evidence based outputsand to manage partnerships, support policy and procedure, deliveryand compliance. To beconsidered for this position you must be able to demonstrate thefollowing: In-depth current knowledge and grasp of all relevant aspects of project management including engaging with stakeholders, scoping project outcomes and setting timelines. A fundamental understanding of the principles of undertaking investigative studies on both familiar and unfamiliar issues using qualitative and quantitative research methods. Ability to write fluently, conveying complex information in a way that the reader will easily understand its message. SpecialConditions: A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential. May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work. This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Department requiring you to obtain an NPC. May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties. Contract:This is a full time position which will be offered up to 30 June2022. Remuneration:ASO6 $92,784 min - $98,143 max per annum.
