Reporting to the Finance Manager, this 12 month contract position will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: Completion of month-end reporting requirements to strict deadlines including analysis and commentary for management Daily bank account reconciliation and cash flow forecasting Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Preparation and processing of month-end journal entries Preparation of monthly income tax and GST reporting obligations Fixed asset register maintenance Event ledger Review of creditor payment and employee expense reimbursement processes Driving system improvement projects under guidance from Finance Manager and CFO Assist the Finance Manager and CFO with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting Assist with supervision and guidance of other finance team members to ensure completion of their tasks by deadlines every month Qualifications, Skills and Experience: To be successful in this role, you will have completed a tertiary qualification in Accounting and hold a CPA/CA qualification. With a minimum of 5 years experience in a commercial accounting role, you will have had exposure to Australian tax obligations and experience in financial administration to support statutory obligations. You will draw on your excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders and thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills are essential for this role and previous experience with NetSuite and Inlogik Promaster will be desirable.
