Job Description

The roleWe currently have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician tojoin our NATA accredited team. Working at our Birkenhead Laboratory and reporting to theLaboratory Manager, this full-time permanent opportunity will seeyou participate in the compliance testing of construction materialsas applicable to the cement manufacturing processes. Your primaryduties will include a broad range of testing, sample preparation,equipment calibration and computer-based analysis. This opportunity will work a Monday to Friday roster with someout of hours and weekend work required. Responsibilities Deliver accurate results in a timely manner and meeting customer expectations Develop effective positive working relationships within a close team environment Adhere to procedures and work systems in a systematic, methodical and safe manner Apply initiative and actively provide calculated recommendations for improvement What you will need to succeed Tertiary qualifications in Science or a related discipline will be highly regarded Previous construction materials testing (concrete) experience would be an advantage A commitment to safety, quality and the environment Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to apply initiative Australian drivers' licence implementation to improve equipment performance Creating and supporting a diverse workforce Adelaide Brighton Cement recognises that diversity in ourworkforce drives innovation, encourages creativity and betterequips us to respond to the challenges facing our industry.
