Xylem Water is the leading technology provider in the water industry with the vision of solving world's most critical water challenges.

A rewarding opportunity now exists to join the team as the newLaboratory Sales Specialist where you may be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

In this exciting hybrid role, you will be establish new customers whilst maintaining existing clients through the provision of product information, packaged solutions and service levels which meet customer requirements. 

Your new role

  • Actively promote the Xylem Analytics Laboratory product range, this support will be in the form of continuing Direct and implementing an Indirect sales strategy.
  • Develop relationships with existing customers of Laboratory products as well as to develop new customers in the geographical territory.
  • Prepare quotations ensuring all pricing policies are followed, and ensure responses to customers are made in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with sales teams across to identify and qualify opportunities, present our product and service offerings to customers and consultants and to follow up and close deals.
  • Assist the sales teams with product selection and application information.
  • About you

  • Desire to work within a Science/Engineering environment
  • 4+ years within a direct or indirect sales role
  • Qualifications or undertaking learning towards the fields of Science (new grads welcome)
  • Ability to travel extensively within Australia
  • Strong customer management, negotiation and communication skills
  • Effective time management with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to manage technical issues
