Job Description

Finance Compliance IT ManagerLocation: North RydeThis role is a great opportunity for a Finance Compliance IT Analyst to join the Finance team. You will be the expert on business controls and working in a SOX compliant environment.You will support SOX compliance implementation and ensure changes are made to processes throughout the Foxtel business in particular Operations. You will collaborate heavily across the Finance teams that operate both locally/internationally along with the IT department and be a contact for both internal and external stakeholders.Your mission Perform review of in scope cycles, including documenting processes, walking through processes and testing, at the application, database and operating system layers Act as subject matter expert in SOX compliance, in particular IT, working independently with these stakeholders Deliver the group’s quarterly certification and annual operational effectiveness assessment in relation to IT Support the Finance Compliance Manager in delivering the annual SOX compliance programme, taking the lead for ITGCs and IT related controls Lead remediation of IT and other control deficiencies. Build relationships with Operations control owners, providing proactive support Work with the Foxtel business to support strategic and operations objectives of the business in policy development to comply with the SOX environment Educate and train the Operations business on SOX compliance including conducting presentations and supporting materials Be leading liaison for external auditors for ITGCs, working closely with them to ensure maximum leverage of internal work and an effective and efficient testing process. Proactively monitor compliance to SOX requirements across ITGCs. Your capability 5-8 years’ experience in Financial Accounting (3+ years in an in-house Financial Accounting role, 4-5 years in a Big 4 Chartered role and SOX compliance experience) Experience with compliance for a global business that operates under SOX compliance Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or similar and CA/CPA qualification Previous experience in the Broadcasting, Telecommunications and/or media industries is high desired Detailed knowledge of statutory reporting obligations and accounting standards, including both IFRS and US GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley Experience using compliance and General Ledger systems and technology (HFM, PeopleSoft) Strong numerical and analytical ability Strong relationship management ability, with particularly strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
