Finance Compliance Analyst Sydney NSW, AustraliaKey role in Finance Compliance team Join Australia's most influential media organisation Permanent full-time role What’s the roleReporting to the Compliance Manager, your main responsibility will be to assist in delivering the SOX compliance program by helping drive and complete the design and test of internal controls. You will work closely with key stakeholders as you educate and increase the knowledge and awareness of internal controls and critical compliance issues. You will also help to ensure transactions flowing through the News Corp Australia finance systems comply with News Corp finance policies. Support the Finance Compliance Manager in delivering the SOX compliance program Perform review of in scope cycles, including documenting processes, walking through processes and testing Build relationships with process owners, providing proactive support Support delivery of the group’s quarterly certification under SOX 302 regulation Educate and train the business on SOX compliance Ensure regular policy review, updates, and ownership and administer the News’ intranet for policies and forms Support the Compliance manager in administering PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance program Review employee expense transactions and assess compliance with News Corp policies: Process and review large amount of data and extract key numbers for analysis Liaise with internal stakeholders to seek further information on reported transactions Prepare the Finance Compliance quarterly reporting pack for presentation to management Who are you? 3+ years of experience in Internal Control and Financial Audit (in-house internal control/finance compliance role and/or Big 4 audit) Previous experience for a global business or auditing clients operating under SOX environment is highly preferred Good communications skills – both written and verbal Ability to engage stakeholders and build meaningful relationships Knowledge of JDE and Concur Expense highly regarded Sound Microsoft Excel knowledge Self-motivated and committed to quality Collaborative Flexible and adaptable What’s in it for you?
