This opportunity is for a candidate at the senior level looking to advance their career in an independent advisory capacity with the ability to advise Australian private equity, corporate and institutional clients across the spectrum of debt markets solutions and structures available in the local and offshore markets. The opportunity We are seeking to hire at the Director level in our Sydney team to further support the growth of the business through utilising their strong relationship building skills and their experience working in the Australian debt markets. This position would suit a candidate with experience in corporate advisory, institutional banking, leveraged finance or investment banking and who can translate this skill set into an independent client advisory environment. You will work in an existing highly capable and respected national team that has established an ongoing flow of client work and that operates collaboratively within a broader Big 4 advisory firm Strategy and Transaction Advisory capability set. Your key responsibilities Previous background in club/syndicated loans, leveraged and acquisition finance, institutional debt/private placements and DCM transactions within corporate advisory, institutional banking or investment banking Strong business network and experience in the Sydney market covering the private equity, corporate and institutional markets Knowledge of credit ratings methodologies and external ratings processes Proven deal origination and execution capabilities across a range of transaction structures Ability to work in a team environment, coach junior staff and work with a broader suite of Strategy and Transaction Advisory and EY professionals Skills and attributes for success We’re interested in leaders with a genuine creative vision and the confidence to make it happen.
