Reporting to the Head of IT, the Database Administrator is a senior role responsible for providing Level 2/3 technical support for this client's critical database systems primarily around the school's Synergetic Finance + legacy student management system. The role supports key internal users including the CFO & finance team, school administration, members of school executive, admissions and enrolments teams along with end users including students, teachers and parents. Working closely with internal Level 1 IT support teams, the role is key in enabling the required business processes needed for the school to be successful.Skills: Knowledge of* Synergetic (Finance) system* Synergetic (School Management) system* Microsoft SQL Server* Microsoft Azure SQL Server* SQL Report Writing Tools (Power BI, Crystal Reports, SSRS)* Experience supporting Synergetic in a K-12 school environment including finance and school management modules.* Experience in designing complex reports through Crystal Report Writer, SSRS.* Experience building and maintaining Microsoft SQL databases (on-premise and Azure cloud)Qualifications & Licences* Employment Working with Children Check - Mandatory.* Victorian Car License* A Degree in Information Technology and/or equivalent industry qualifications or experience in a commercial or educational workplace* ITIL related certification and training desirablePersonal Attributes * Ability to prioritise workloads, manage time and schedule tasks, and be resilient to changing priorities.* Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, as well as independently* Effective communication skills - good written skills, ability to write concisely for documentation, project specifications, business cases etc. * Excellent customer service skills, able to interact effectively with staff, parents and students of widely varying IT skills
