<ul><li><strong>Full time ongoing (permanent) position</strong></li><li><strong>Office located in Newcastle with projects being undertaken on the NSW Central Coast</strong></li><li><strong>Salary starting from $110,745 pa + super</strong></li></ul><p><strong><br>The </strong><a href="https://www.scs.nsw.gov.au/" target="_blank"><strong>Soil Conservation Service</strong></a><strong>, Hunter Area Team are looking for a high-quality leader with commercial business acumen to coordinate and manage the delivery of a program of natural resource and environmental works for multiple clients. </strong>As the Senior Project Coordinator, you’ll be at home working in a competitive commercial environment to lead a diverse team of environmental project managers deliver a range of natural resource and/or civil construction projects to industry stakeholders and clients.<br><br>Your responsibilities will include:<br><br><strong>Team Leadership:</strong></p><ul><li>Overseeing the operations of a team of professionals, allocating projects in accordance with individual competencies and equitable workloads.</li><li>Building capability in others and working across other teams to assist in the development of project management, team development, and quality processes and skills as required.</li></ul><p><strong><br>Business Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Promoting, managing, and marketing a successful commercial consulting business in line with set profit targets</li><li>Identifying client needs and actively seek environmental projects to maintain a market share of work</li><li>Establishing networks and developing effective partnerships to win commercial contracts in natural resource management and/or civil construction.</li></ul><p><strong><br>Financial Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Leading a business area with a $3M to $5M turnover, with projects ranging in size from $20k to $2M.</li><li>Managing financial KPI’s and budgets to build revenue and meet financial targets.</li><li>Preparing and reviewing contracts and tender documents.</li></ul><p><strong><br>Project Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Establishing and managing project teams, to ensure governance and quality compliance in the delivery of all project milestones and outcomes</li><li>Providing practical solutions to a diverse range of natural resource management problems/issues and delivering beneficial outcomes to clients on a fee-for-service basis</li><li>Preparing reports and reviewing those prepared by team members, ensuring technical and presentation standards are met</li><li>Preparing detailed technical reports and plans</li><li>Implementing projects following specifications and technical drawings prepared in-house or by third parties.</li></ul><p><strong><br>About You:<br></strong>Ideally, we are seeking someone with a tertiary qualification in a relevant field. You’ll need to have specialist knowledge and experience in assessment, design, and implementation of natural resource management and/or civil construction techniques and practices, and have a solid understanding of and commitment to IMS procedures (SCS or other).<br><br>You’ll have proven experience managing and developing project teams within a commercial business environment and have demonstrated experience successfully delivering relevant natural resource and/or civil construction projects – from initial design through to physical construction.<br><br>Our focus is high-quality leadership and high-quality project delivery and to be successful this needs to be your focus too.
