About the Role
The position of Supply Planner is responsible for their section of the appropriate inventory levels in the Chemist Warehouse Supply Chain. The primary focus and responsibilities of the role are to:
Maintain and report on the in-stock position and Lost Sale opportunities, and Facilitate the reviewing, approving, placing and management process of Purchase Orders so as to ensure stock is available at the right place, at the right time at the right price.
As part of the Supply Chain team, the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate and reflect our values around Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect, Integrity and Service by way of their every day conduct and behaviour.
Roles & Responsibilities
SUPPLY PLANNING
Ensure stock is available “right place, at the right time at the right price” by:
Working with Demand Planners to ensure demand plans are understood and facilitated.
Working with Suppliers to ensure they are able to supply stock when required.
Analysing inventory, identifying trends and anomalies to ensure risks to the supply network are identified as early as possible.
Supporting DCs to facilitate day to day supply in line with business expectations, by following the PO Management Processes.
Ensuring PO’s are raised in a timely manner and aligned to the demand plans, so as to fulfil demand requirements at DCs.
Maintaining and updating the PO status in the system, so as to ensure all data is accurate.
Reporting on Out of Stock, lost sales, overstock opportunities, obsolete or slow moving stock in support of optimum inventory levels management.
Analysing and reporting on performance of past POs, to suggest future actions.
Liasing with Suppliers and Demand Planning team to ensure inventory levels are maintained in line with forecasts and strategy.
Utilising system driven inventory planning and execution techniques to ensure appropriate stock supply is available in the Chemist Warehouse Supply Chain to meet store demand.
Identifying and reporting opportunities to improve service levels, cost and processes in line with business strategy
Where appropriate, participating in the implementation of any authorised improvements.
Performing additional tasks as directed by management.
