Job Description

Central Adelaide Local Health Network, Mental Health Services, various locationsIndicative Total Remuneration: $73,733 - $100,605 - RN/RM1; $86,132 - $108,874 - RN/RM2 - Temp P/T (28 hrs p/wk, up to 30/6/2021) You will utilise the process of nursing to deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to consumers within the Mental Health Clinical Program. The provision of education, counselling and group work are considered essential components of care directed towards the attainment of optimum consumer health and recovery. This will involve consulting and liaising with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organisations, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will undertake assessments of consumers and develop treatment plans to ensure flow of consumers through the service. Using a strengths-based approach, the care you provide will uphold the principles of recovery as you address consumers’ mental health, physical health and social needs. SA Health is committed to policy development, facilities planning and advancing Mental Health Reform throughout the State and the community. The mental health system is focused on improving service integration, governance, population based services, consumer and carer engagement, and recovery focused care.You will need to be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practicing certificate along with a qualification in mental health nursing. You will demonstrate experience and skills in the areas of assessment, planning care, evaluation of care, provision of therapeutic interventions and an understanding of group processes and counselling activities. With a commitment to consumer and carer participation in mental health care, you will bring the ability to work collaboratively with consumers, carers, other agencies and community services.The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
