National BusinessFriendly Team EnvironmentImmediate StartFull-Time Permanent PositionAbout Us:The Scaffidi Group manages pharmacies across Australia including Adelaide, Brisbane and rural and regional sites in SA, NT, QLD and VIC. Our group of pharmacies operate under three main brand banners- United Chemists, Priceline Pharmacy and Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse. About the role: We now have a permanent, full-time position available for a Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Department. In this role you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts across multiple small businesses located around Australia. A typical day will involve accounts payable and receivable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, debtor control, invoice payments and general administration. In addition, this role will assist with the preparation of accounting work-papers, journal entry, BAS/Payroll tax preparation. Ideally suited to university graduates seeking a start for a career in Accounting or Finance.  About you:To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:Recent or near completion of a tertiary degree with a minor/major in AccountingHigh level of computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and XeroA proactive and self-driven natureExceptional communication skills (telephone and email)Be able to work within a small team as well as autonomouslyAbility to think clearly and logicallyHigh attention to detail to ensure accuracy and qualityExcellent time management and organisational skillsAbility to manage a wide variety of tasks whilst always meeting deadlinesThe ability to use initiative and sound judgement in resolving problemsBusiness-like presentation and professional mannerAbility to build effective working relationships across all areas of the business Previous experience in bookkeeping and experience using Xero are preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be the first point of contact for stores regarding any account issues and store account payments. With the benefit of having in-house support from our finance team, a relaxed but hard working atmosphere and working within a close knit team, this role will suit someone who is looking to take ownership of their role whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. We offer:A friendly and supportive team environmentOpportunity to be a part of a progressive, growing companySupportive leadership team and ongoing head office supportHow To Apply:If you are a passionate, aspiring, motivated individual looking for an opportunity to make your mark we want to hear from you.
