Senior Regulation Officer Salary: PSCSAA 2019, Level 5, $89,047 - $97,994 Position Number: 02203900 Work type: Fixed Term - Full Time Location: Shenton Park About the PositionReporting to the Manager Regulation, the Senior Regulation Officer position is located within the Regulatory Services Division of WorkCover WA.The Senior Regulation Officer is responsible for ensuring service providers comply with legislative instruments and perform their functions in accordance with principles and standards across the Western Australian workers’ compensation scheme. The occupant of this position will be involved in the delivery of a variety of tasks, including: Engaging in effective stakeholder management and utilising specialist knowledge to make evidence-based decisions and resolve complaints.Monitoring performance standards for service providers and analysing data trends for reports.Reviewing and providing recommendations on premium rate loading applications and appeals.Providing education and advice to service providers about performance to ensure they are compliant with principles and standards in accordance with legislation and regulations.To be successful in this position prospective applicants should have the skills outlined in the selection criteria. Essential selection criteria Ability to analyse and evaluate data, identify trends, and formulate recommendations.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate with and persuade stakeholders.Effective case management experience and ability.Experience interpreting and applying legislation and conducting reviews. Desirable selection criteria Demonstrated knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981. Possession of or progress towards a relevant tertiary qualification.
