Primary Objective: Under the direction of the Team Leader provide family support services to vulnerable children and their families residing in remote communities. Work in partnership with others to provide safety and targeted support to families, provide place-based statutory services of the department and support the work of visiting Child Protection and Youth Outreach staff. Support agency activities in relation to community education, development and consultation activities and proactively work with the community to facilitate access to departmental services including i.e. NT Concession and NT Seniors Recognition Schemes. Selection will be made at the P1 or P2 level depending on the experience of the successful applicant. Several fixed vacancies to 30/06/2022 in various locations are available. Some positions within the agency attract additional allowances. Special Instructions: Under the agency’s Special Measures Recruitment Plan eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Aboriginal) applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.
