MINING SERVICES ORGANISATIONEXCELLENT SALARY PACKAGENEW ROLE Our client is a successful and well known Mining Services organisation. They currently have a new position available within the Perth office for an Asset Management Accountant. The main responsibilities of the role is to manage the assets owned by the entire organisation. This role reports into the Executive Asset Manager.Key Responsibilities:Asset Utilization forecasting and planning to ensure efficient use of capitalUtilising Asset Planning tools to assist in future capital expenditure decisionsConduct periodic reviews of the Group Fixed assets to ensure they are utilized productively in the businessAssist in initiatives to increase revenue and asset values through identified efficiencies and savingsManage the capital expenditure approval processMonitor the actual capital expenditure against budgetWork closely with Operations and Maintenance team on all capital expenditure requestsAssist in yearly capital expenditure BudgetingPrepare reports and perform analysis of Rig financial performance, ROC and utilization rate and other data analyticsReview and update current asset capitalization and depreciation policiesMaintain the Group Fixed Asset Register, conduct verification audit and ensure timely & accurate reporting of fixed asset dataControl capital asset which involves the tagging of new assets and accounting for additions & disposalsAssist in the implementation and monitoring of Asset Maintenance Management system in ACCPACHandle special projects as determined by the Senior ManagementKnowledge & Skills Required:Ability to function in goal-driven, fast faced environmentsProactive, self-regulated and has the ability to work independentlyAbility to be 'hands-on' and interact well with diverse culturesGood communication skills; Excellent written and verbal English language skillsFamiliar with IAS 16 — Property, Plant and Equipment and IFRS StandardsAbility to manage auditsExperience Required:University degree in Accounting3-5 years of relevant experience in Asset Accounting Experience with related industry preferable but not essentialAdvance MS Office specifically MS ExcelKnowledge & experience of ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics / ACCPAC preferableThis exciting opportunity will give you the chance to work for a leading organisation within the Mining industry.
