MTIA is established as an Administrative Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation, comprising skilled and experienced staff across the various professional disciplines involved in transport infrastructure project delivery. Led by the Director-General, it has five key groups: Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, the North East Link Project, Rail Projects Victoria and the West Gate Tunnel Project. The Minister for Transport Infrastructure is the responsible Minister for the projects which are developed and delivered by MTIA.About the opportunityThe Senior Security Specialist (Information) will develop program elements to ensure the security of information assets and risks associated with information systems are captured and communicated to information asset owners and custodians. The Specialist undertakes reviews of new business proposals and provide SME's with advice on security risks and issues. As part of a team, the Senior Security Specialist (Information) is responsible for proactively contributing to the development of MTIA's cyber security program, leveraging as appropriate from Department and WoVG frameworks and artefacts to directly support MTIA's mission. This role provides key information security capability across Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) ensuring projects and changes meet baseline security requirements in compliance with security policy and standards. As a security subject matter expert (SME), provide advice on, the selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of information security controls and management strategies to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and compliance of information assets. The function will also provide support and leadership in the planning and implementation of organisation wide secure processes and procedures in an. environment with distributed (multitenant like) cyber security governance arrangements.Why join us?
