As the first point of contact, this role is ideal for someone who is organised and confident in dealing with people from all walks of life, providing a welcoming smile and presenting a professional experience to guests. If you are looking for a opportunity to make a difference in your community, apply today.We are looking for a volunteer who is outgoing, positive and compassionate to perform basic data entry and admin duties.A core value of the Salvation Army is to support the needs of individuals in the community. The volunteer receptionist role provides services including welcoming clients, answering telephone calls, booking clients in for appointments, referring clients to local agencies and performing general administration duties consistent with a reception environment. Safety and well-being of self and others is vital and there is a requirement to identify and report hazards and incidents.The admin duties involve data entry, filing, updating client records and accurately recording financial support given to each client attending our site. You must be confident with reception duties, such as answering phones and be able to manage and prioritise tasks while on reception.If you are passionate about helping people, love communicating on the phone and want to give back to the community please apply.Our reception/ admin hours are from 9.30pm - 2pm Monday to Thursday. This role is suitable for job share, so you can choose to work one or more days.Please advise on your availability in your expression of interest.Qualifications and experience requirements for the Role* Experience in reception, office administration and customer service preferred* Training providedMandatory requirements of the Role* Complete The Salvation Army's volunteer registration process* Current Working With Children Check will be required* Complete TSA induction modules and any other training as required (e.g.Child safe organisation induction)We highly encourage you to send us your resume to help us to get to know you more.
