Additionally, this role will assist in problem solving and providing feedback around the clinical aspects of the Zero Suicide project deliverables.The Allied Health Practitioner-Senior (Zero Suicide Project) is a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, to deliver high level psychology/social work/ occupational therapy clinical services and leadership across the Sunshine Coast Mental Health and Specialised Services, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health (SCHHS).The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, Mental Health and Specialised Services is an integrated service with linked hospital and community-based services throughout the Hospital and Health Service. This promotes access and continuity of care.Key Responsibilities include:Clinical Nurse Consultant position: Assume responsibility and accountability for own actions and the delegation and supervision of nursing care to Registered Midwives (RMs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs).Lead the achievement of positive patient outcomes by:Applying expert clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and coordinating clinical practice within a specialty area directly or indirectly Allied Health Practitioner-Senior position: Deliver independent high level Psychology/Social Work/Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care.
