National Aluminium Business Development Manager

Reporting to the National Aluminium Manager, and guided by the BlueScope Flat Steel Products (BFSP) strategy, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the aluminium sales strategies and business plan to ensure profitable growth of revenue and margin,
Your key responsibilities will include:
Identify and develop new business opportunities nationally in target industrial and commercial market segments;
Provide aluminium technical information, design engineering support and coordinate resources to ensure utilisation of aluminium and steel products for projects;
Inform and educate state business development and sales teams on large strategic accounts and projects to deliver new opportunities to the business and their aligned customers;
Lead strategic national accounts including supply proposals, tender submissions and coordination of quotes; and
Provide product information and training, reporting and supply reviews.
Who are we looking for
We welcome interest from experienced business development professionals with an understanding of aluminium product-making and application. Key to your success will be your strategic approach, commercial acumen and proven success securing and managing large/strategic customers.
You will also demonstrate:
proven success driving customer growth, orchestrating a customer turnaround and growing share of wallet;
success negotiating and managing trading term agreements of national/large accounts;
aptitude to work as a team and autonomously with both internal and external communities;
demonstrated analytical strength and strong commercial background; and
prior in-field experience and a sound understanding of the route to market and sourcing dynamics.
