The role of Development Technologist works cross-functionally across many parts of our global business. With exposure to our Sales, Marketing, Global Innovation and Foodservice teams, you will be key in providing technical excellence to our powders business. It is essential that you are able to ensure that the products comply with nutritional, sensory, physical and chemical requirements.
As a Development Technologist, you will be expected to demonstrate both technical and individual leadership competencies, in particular:
Provide technical leadership and contribute technical knowledge to the powders business;
Co-ordinate and deliver on key product and process related projects;
Transfer food & process expertise of powders to other functions within the business (including Production, Quality and Sales) during project activities and handover;
Develop relationships with key stakeholders to help leverage NZ and external knowledge & technology within Fonterra Australia.

What you’ll bring
Ideally bringing to the table a background in dairy powders product development, we would love to speak to those who have experience working in a similar Technologist position, within the ingredients manufacturing sector where quality is an absolute non-negotiable.
To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:
Experience in New Product Development (NPD) managing projects from concept to commercialisation;
Excellent systems and process experience;
Outstanding relationship building and cross-functional influencing skills;
Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
Robust problem solving and analytical capability;
A qualification in food science, dairy, or food technology.
