Job Description

Role Purpose

We are looking for someone from a strong technical background to join the maintenance team on a rostered shift patterned at our Cobden site. You will have strong communication skills as you interact with the Plant Asset Care PPM, Maintenance, operations and Management teams to ensure that the right maintenance work is performed at the optimum time relative to production scheduling. You will be able to problem solve, think outside the box and manage task prioritisation.

Responsibilities:

Plan, communicate and undertake work associated with preventative maintenance.
Diagnosis and repair of plant system and component faults and failures.
Provide support to production team activities that ensures reliable plant operation.
Provide mechanical installation and repair work as required.
Ensure all mechanical systems operate in a safe and reliable manner.
Identifying and implement plant improvements.
Ensure maintenance of the plant is always to a high standard.
Ensure that all work orders are completed and closed out accurately.

Skills and Experience:

Qualified Fitter & Turner with proven experience and a strong technical/engineering background in a manufacturing environment,
Experience in an FMCG industry background is preferred,
Confident in reading and interpreting equipment manuals and drawings,
Pneumatic, steam and hydraulic systems understanding is preferred,
Computer literate,
Experienced in using CMMS (MEX) work orders and work reporting,
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills,
Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and work ethic,
Ability to work well in a team and drive a team to success.
