Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing sales team at VMware in Sydney, Australia. We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced senior sales executive with prior experience in solution selling to NSW Enterprise and Public Sector customers, in partnership with AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google, focused on building and growing new customer relationships.

About You

This role is well suited for quota-carrying individuals with a demonstrable track-record in account management, business development and solution selling in any area of Cloud Services including but not limited to Cloud Automation, Cloud Financial Management, Cloud Security, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Analytics with previous experience working for SaaS or Software companies in an Account Executive, Sales Specialist and/or Product Specialist role.

Responsibilities

This senior sales executive role will be responsible for growing VMware’s SaaS business by leveraging VMware and partner teams including cloud solution architects, Core sales and customer success teams. Specifically, responsibilities include:

Managing a territory with named accounts with the goal of developing new customer relationships in the NSW Enterprise and Public Sector market
Finding, developing and nurturing new opportunities in partnership with global alliances (AWS/Azure/Oracle/Google)
Amplify and evangelise VMware’s cloud management & security SaaS portfolio
Prepare and deliver solution presentations to internal and external stakeholders
Leverage solution selling techniques to uncover customer challenges, demonstrate proof of value, and negotiate commercial agreements
Co-Sell with VMware sellers from Core as well as other specialist sales teams
Drive an efficient sales cycle from discovery to closure
Skills and Experience

Undergraduate qualification or equivalent
Working knowledge of cloud services and/or cloud software
Experienced in direct sales to end-user customers
Demonstrable customer knowledge/network in NSW Commercial, Enterprise and/or Public Sector markets
Demonstrable solution selling capabilities (including SaaS
Proficient communications and negotiation skills
Growth mind-set, high-energy and socially savvy
Travel: 25% of the time
