VMware has a vacancy for a forward thinking and dynamic sales professional who will currently be working as an Inside Sales Manager for a successful inside sales business within a matrix organisation.
The VMware sales team and the solutions, products and services we deliver are revolutionizing data centers and the IT enterprise network. The sales team is responsible for driving new business, building customer loyalty, ensuring high product retention rates, supporting and promoting corporate strategy and initiatives, and developing and executing area business plans.
The team is made up of humble top performers that foster an entrepreneurial team spirit and a team culture that promotes leaders at all levels. VMware’s executive sales leadership is hands-on, regularly engaging with the team during key parts of the sales process to win and retain accounts.
Overview of Responsibilities:
To develop and manage the Inside Sales team, and drive the sales activity of VMware Inside Sales Reps to promote sales of VMware products across ANZ. Interface with Customers at a senior level as appropriate and build strong relations in conjunction with the PBM and Channels team across ANZ.
• Lead and develop inside sales team to achieve business goals in revenue, growth and customer development
• Development and execution of the operation Inside Sales strategy to include specific revenue, recruitment and marketing goals and activities
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through all phases of the customer lifecycle
• Pipeline management, sales forecasting & sales performance management
• Providing direction to all Inside Sales Rep team including target setting, KPIs and performance reviews
• Achieve sales targets across the range of software products
• Manage channel partner transactions
• Running regular account reviews with Inside Sales team resulting in a detailed understanding of the status of significant accounts and deals in the region
• Champion the use of the Salesforce across the Reps and SE's
• Work with teams across, Channel, marketing, sales specialists and engineering
• Establishing and growing VMware expertise within the VMware Inside Sales to strengthen VMware market share and market place defensibility
• Developing a prominent role in articulating VMware’s vision and message to the Channel community

Candidate Attributes:
• Extensive experience in software sales, including transactional sales, Cloud sales and strategic selling experience, as well as significant people management experience.
• Performer. Consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory.
• Missionary. Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency
• Go-Getter. Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
• Leader. Exceptional leadership skills: a strong recruiter and motivate people.

Essential Requirements:
• Degree level education BS or BA level, MBA preferred
• 5+ years previous software sales leadership experience
• Proven track record of exceeding sales goals as an Inside Sales Manager or Leader
• Experience understanding sales numbers and managing daily sales metrics
• Adept oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to set high expectations standards and mentor an evolving workforce
• Establishes positive working relationships with colleagues and management peers
• Must be self-motivated and directed, have strong follow up skills and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to set high expectations standards and mentor an evolving workforce
• Skilled in negotiation
• Must be self-motivated and directed, have strong follow up skills and pay close attention to detail
